The 2021 ACAA Varsity Basketball Tournament begins this week! If you are planning to attend the event, here is what you need to know.
The Tournament will take place at the Oxford Civic Center in Oxford, Alabama. The address is 401 McCullars Lane, Oxford, Alabama 36203.Because of COVID-19 restrictions, there will be many changes this year compared to tournaments in the past.
If you are planning to attend the Tournament, please make note of the following.
- You must have a ticket in order to attend the event. This includes students. Tickets are limited per school. You will need to contact Coach White about tickets before travelling to the Tournament to ensure you will have tickets and to arrange how to get those tickets from him.
- Because the Varsity Girls play so early on Thursday (9:30am), please let Coach White know immediately if you plan to attend that game. For all other games throughout the Tournament, Coach White needs to know if you want tickets at least 3 hours before the start of the game. After that time, you will have to wait to see if any are available at the door before the game begins.
- There may be unpurchased tickets for sale at the event 1-hour before the game begins. They will be limited to 2 tickets per person in line, and they are on a first-come/first-served basis. There is no guarantee that these will be available at all.
- Coaching Cards are not accepted for entrance to the Tournament.
- After each game, the Gym will be cleared and sanitized before the next game begins. Fans must exit the facility completely and cannot wait in the lobby for the teams to exit the locker rooms. You will need a ticket for the next game to be able to reenter the Gym.
- Varsity brackets can be found here.
