Lisa Weldy serves as the Principal of Tabernacle Christian School.
Ms. Weldy became part of the Tabernacle family in 2023, bringing over 16 years of teaching experience from both domestic and international classrooms. Originally from Decatur, Illinois, she spent a decade teaching in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where her expertise spanned History, Speech/Drama, and Bible studies. Beyond the classroom, Ms. Weldy coached basketball and served as Student Council advisor, fostering student growth both academically, spiritually and personally.
Her teaching career also includes six years overseas in Seoul, South Korea, providing her with a unique global perspective on Christian education.
Ms. Weldy holds a BA and MS from Bob Jones University and is on track to complete her Masters in Teaching & Learning with a concentration in Educational Administration from Maranatha Baptist University. She is thrilled to return to Alabama, where her family ministered for nine years, and embraces her role as an educator dedicated to inspiring our young Torches.
