Tabernacle Welcomes Trevor Read as New School Administrator 

Trevor Read has officially been named the new Administrator at Tabernacle Christian School. Bringing over two decades of leadership experience in education, Mr. Read is set to guide TCS into a new chapter of excellence.

A seasoned educator, Mr. Read has held roles as School Administrator, Principal, and Athletic Director. He also made his mark on the field as a head coach, leading teams to four Georgia state football championships. His leadership expertise extends into school safety and operations, further strengthening TCS’s commitment to student safety and success. 

An alumnus of West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California, Mr. Read holds a degree in Secondary Education, with a major in History and Bible and a minor in Physical Education. His distinguished career in Christian education began in 1998 and includes experience in six different schools, where he served in capacities ranging from classroom teaching to overseeing entire institutions.

Before entering education, Mr. Read served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy, including active duty during Operation Desert Storm. 

TCS also welcomes Carla Read as our new Director of Academics. With 27 years of Christian education experience, Mrs. Read most recently served as High School Dean and Academic Advisor in Georgia. A graduate of Crown College and Pensacola Christian College, she brings invaluable expertise both in the classroom and in academic leadership. 

Together, Mr and Mrs Read have been married for 29 years and are parents to three adult children. Their oldest son, Mark, is a U.S. Army National Guard Combat Medic and Fireman/EMT. Jake has pursued a career in education, while Allie will graduate from the University of West Georgia this year.

“We are honored to join the TCS family and are excited to see what God will do this year,” Mr. Read shared, outlining his vision for the school’s growth.
